Project Summary

Our friend worked for Bank First agency and presented us with something they were working on. They were considering purchasing the rights to an older commercial made for another bank and rebranding it to fit their bank. They were looking for something fun and different from other bank ads, so they knew we'd be a good fit. They wanted to inform audiences of their perks program and cell phone protection. We worked with their team to develop two customized commercials for each perk. The first of which is entitled, 'Clumsy Dad.' This piece follows a tourist family as they embark on a family photo taken at the top of a bridge. The dad, clumsy, forgot to latch his camera down, and the phone gets launched off the bridge. This informed the viewer of their 'Phone Protection' perk. 

The second ad, 'Jimmy Mundane,' follows our lead Jimmy Mundane as he goes through his daily mundane routine. However, not until the end of the piece do we find out that Jimmy has just signed up for the 'Fuel Rewards' perk and is now living a lavish and plush lifestyle. 

We worked with an art director/stylist to curate each scene and look for all talent and scenes. With Jimmy Mundane, we went with a more muted and desaturated look for most of the piece and brought up the overall color for the last payoff scene. With Clumsy Dad, we wanted the wardrobe to be inspired by an overdressed tourist, and we built their colors into each talent look.
