Project Summary

Concept Development:

EdX came to us with a challenge: how do we advertise our rebrand and boost engagement with our platform—and how do we pull that off in under 60 seconds?

Working with several ideas brought to us by their internal Marketing team, Bolo Brothers Creative pitched several concepts to EdX, then collaboratively devised a campaign centered around three compelling stories. Each story featured individuals whose lives were positively impacted by EdX's online courses, emphasizing and visualizing how the innovative platform helped each subject achieve their goals and ultimately succeed.

Production Process:

With all hands on deck, the campaign's production was a true team effort that allowed each member of our team to exhibit their talents. Creative Director Drew Maynard ensured that the creative direction aligned with EdX's objectives, while Art Director Madi Braun brought consistency with the rebrand's colors and theme into the physical spaces of each piece. The camera and lighting team worked diligently to create and capture cinematic imagery that brought the stories to life with an eye-catching, modern aesthetic.

Campaign Launch and Reception:

Upon completion, the campaign received widespread acclaim from EdX and delivered above and beyond their every expectation. Launched across various platforms, including CTV ads and LinkedIn, the campaign was used to capture a broad audience of potential learners. The campaign successfully achieved its goal of promoting EdX's rebrand while showcasing the tangible benefits of its online education platform.

Post-Production:

The editing and color team at Bolo Brothers Creative transformed the raw footage into a captivating series of narrative videos. Utilizing carefully plotted cuts and foley audio, they crafted a seamless narrative to keep viewers hooked from start to finish. The end result was a thorough and expertly crafted execution of the original ideas brought forth during pre-production.
